However, it's important to note that silver is a softer metal compared to gold, so it does require a little extra care. Most of our silver jewellery has a rhodium or gold plating, which will help to prevent natural tarnishing caused by oxidation. However, a tip for keeping all of your silver jewellery from tarnishing when you are not wearing them is to keep them in a small zip lock bag.

Please do not wear any silver jewellery in the shower or swimming or spa pool. Silver alloy reacts quite quickly to chemicals and can turn black. Chemicals will also affect how quickly the gold or rhodium plating wears. So taking care to spray perfume in areas where you are not wearing jewellery also helps!

All of our earrings come with silicon backings. We highly recommend using these backings with silver earrings as they provide a better grip and keep the earring in place more effectively than a silver butterfly clasp.
