FAQs
Loose diamonds are diamonds that have not yet been set into a piece of jewellery. They offer flexibility for buyers who want to customise their own jewellery, such as an engagement ring or pendant.
The most important factors to consider are the Four Cs: Carat weight, Cut, Colour, and Clarity. These characteristics determine the quality, appearance, and value of the diamond. The fifth C - Certification, is just as important. Reach out is you need some help choosing your perfect loose diamond. We are always here to help - contact us.
Shape refers to the overall appearance of the diamond (e.g., round, oval, pear), while cut refers to the quality of the diamond's facets, symmetry, and polish, which impact its sparkle and brilliance.
Yes, buying a certified diamond offers peace of mind. A certified diamond comes with an official diamond grading report from an independent gemological lab, verifying its quality and characteristics. This ensures transparency and helps you make an informed decision, and is why all diamonds we sell are independantly graded by a world renowned diamond grading agency, i.e. GIA and IGI. It's peace of mind.
The diamond colour scale ranges from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Colourless diamonds (D-F) are the most valuable, but near-colourless diamonds (G-H) often offer excellent value while appearing almost identical to the untrained eye.
Diamond Clarity refers to the presence of internal inclusions or external blemishes. Diamonds with fewer inclusions and blemishes are more valuable. Clarity grades range from Flawless (FL) to Included (I1, I2, I3). Most of the diamonds we sell range from VVS1 through to VS2. But on a budget SI1-SI2 provides a good balance between quality and value.
